"Training"

Why do we need training?

Above is a picture from a video where a man and his wife stand on the front steps of what appears to be their home. A couple things we want to talk about simply from a training stand point.

Safety is the number one thing that sticks out to me. From this picture you can see that the lady on the right is pointing the gun off into a crowd and has her finger on the trigger. This of course is not a great look. We want to train to keep our finger off the trigger, until we have made the conscious decision to fire. The second thing that makes me feel as if their training on the basics is minimal is muzzle awareness. The man keeps the AR-15 pointed into the crowed. Now he seemed to have a little better trigger discipline, but lacked muzzle awareness to point the gun down at the ground.

Now thankfully the couple was able to protect their home and no one was hurt, but the question is... had this turned ugly would they have been an asset or a liability? This is why we want to be educated on what we need to train, so we can perform to the best of our ability, if and when the time comes.

So while I love seeing people own guns, I would love to see a lot more people invest the time to get training, mentally and physically.

Thank you,

Educate-Train-Perform

P.S. If you get the chance, look into the story of what this well trained Man did in Nairobi, Kenya.
