ETG Martial Arts
Why Pursue Martial Arts
As we grew the Executive Firearms Brand and corresponding programs, we quickly realized some gaps as well as overlapping client interests. Thus, the DBA Executive Training Group was born. Our class data indicated a clear need for clients to understand and gain proficiency in martial arts. It is difficult to build a house if you only have a hammer.
Our martial arts program is a perfect mixture of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Self-Defense based combatives to introduce people to the world of grappling & striking.
We want students to build solid fundamentals and develop their own style as they evolve. We take pride in bridging the gap between firearms and hands-on mentality.
Types of Martial Arts
There are a lot of different martial arts out there, and it can be tough to choose which one is right for you. If you're looking for a martial art that will be effective for self-defense, here are a few of the best options in our opinion.
Jiu-jitsu is a grappling-based martial art that is incredibly effective for self-defense. It teaches you how to control and submit an attacker, even if they are larger and stronger than you.
Boxing is a striking-based martial art with a primary focus on offensive/defensive punching combinations to the waist up. Strikes are executed with fists only.
Krav Maga is a self-defense system that was developed by the Israeli military. It is designed to be incredibly effective in real-world self-defense situations.
Muay Thai is a striking-based martial art that is known for its devastating kicks and knees. It is an excellent choice for self-defense as it can help you keep an attacker at a distance and neutralize them with powerful strikes.
